LaConner, WA

Last week I joined up with an annual camping trip of family and friends (most I have known my entire life). We usually head east of the mountains for the big camping shin-dig, but this year there were too many people that were going to have to come and go, so we figured we’d stay a little closer to Seattle to make it easier on everyone. We settled on the Thousand Trails campgrounds in LaConner, WA. The sites we had were closer to the big open field in the middle of the campgrounds (when camping with children aged 2 months to 17 years old, it’s best to be close to the playground!). The campgrounds run right up to the water on Skagit Bay and I took a couple of walks down there. The first walk was a few hours before sunset when the reflections on the water were spectacular. The second walk was a couple of days later right as the sun was quickly falling behind the mountains.

Enjoy what I saw in LaConner!

Coupeville, WA

While I was working at the Coupeville Arts and Crafts Festival a couple of weeks ago, I had a few spare minutes to grab some shots of things I saw that I wanted to remember.

Enjoy what I saw in Coupeville!

Sunrise in Anacortes, WA

I am not a morning person, however this morning I woke up at about 5am and couldn’t get back to sleep. I wandered out of my room and saw that the sky was brightening up. When I looked out the window I was amazed at the sight! I ran back and grabbed my iPhone to grab this view of the sun rising behind Mt. Baker. It’s not often I see this sight, so I wanted to share what I saw this morning.

Enjoy!

A Year With Frog And Toad

I had the pleasure to photograph the last two dress rehearsals for “A Year With Frog And Toad” at Youth Theatre Northwest on Mercer Island this week. There is so much talent to go around at this theatre, they had to double cast the two main characters in order to spread the wealth!  If you are in the area the next two weeks, you must see this show! And you really have to see it twice to see both casts because they are equally talented, energetic and let’s face it, so stinking cute! I especially loved the music in this show, all songs I had not heard before but loved loved loved!

Coupeville Arts & Crafts Festival

I’m very excited to be participating in this wonderful art festival again this year. I’m looking forward to sharing my new photos from my recent trip to Italy. If you are in the Whidbey Island area – come check out the festival!

Portrait Session

I feel so privileged to be the first to photograph this 5 day old cutie pie and his very proud older brothers. All three boys were the best to work with (that bribe from Dad probably helped – a new game on the iPad for each who cooperates!) I have been shooting the older boys for the past few years and it’s so much fun for me to see how they grow each time I see them!

Enjoy these precious boys!
